Its Line-I construction was completed in 1982, and the first truck got dispatched within the same year. Then in 1990, the plant’s Line-II construction was commissioned. Meanwhile, in 1997, upgrade and development works were done on Line-I, bringing it up to 1.18 MTPA, and in 1999, a Pre Calcinator string was added.

Expectations for the Orient Cement Plant Expansion Project in Telangana

The project will elevate the cement unit capacity from five mln tpa to eight mln tpa. Moreover, it will potentially generate direct as well as indirect employment opportunities for 4,000 people.

While commenting on the Orient Cement Plant Expansion Project in Telangana, Telangana IT & Industries Minister further stated as an extension to the project, the state government will partner with the company. Thereafter, it will set up a skill development center in Bellampalli, which is a short distance from Devapur.

KT Rama Rao further stated that in turn, it will lead to the creation of an industry-ready workforce. Especially for the company and cement plant.
